It's a pleasure for Manchester Rocks to have a band of this stature on our site, necessitating this (as we can it) "Dedicated Artist" page to list their upcoming and past gigs in the city of Manchester.
Elbow slogged for years to break into the popular consciousness. It was a special moment when with their "The Seldom Seen Kid" they did that, with a Mercury Award Prize. It was quite something to see applause break-out amongst the music journalists that day - the guys who normally applaud nothing - as they acknowledged the band, their patience, their quality, and the winning of that much deserved prize. Hail Elbow.
